Here’s another exciting and very personal post. I’d love to share with you that on Easter Sunday, 2012, we baptised our little boy Adrian Joseph Au. As a Christian, we understand baptism to be a command given by the risen Lord Jesus and is a sign and symbol of our belonging to Him and the new life which He alone offers. The promise of God’s grace is not simply for Christian parents but extended to their children in the confident hope that even before Adrian knows it, God’s favour, grace and blessing is upon him. Of course our prayer is that he grows to understand, trust in, and love the Lord Jesus with heart, mind, soul and strength. But in the meantime, we celebrate that so long as he’s in our household, we’ll raise him as one belonging to Jesus. That’s what Adrian’s baptism today was all about.
This shot was very unnecessary – but I just LOVED Adrian’s unimpressed facial expression. He’s always looked like this when anything exciting (to us) happens to him. He’s a hard little boy to please.
oh dear i lol-ed so much at adrian’s unimpressed facial expressions. he really will have the best 21st birthday and wedding powerpoint slides. XD i even had to call my mom in to look.
